The Zurn 1-600XL 1" pressure reducing valve features a FNPT single union x FNPT design and is lead-free, specifically engineered for installation on potable water lines to effectively reduce high inlet pressure to a safer lower outlet pressure. This valve includes an integral strainer, making it highly suitable for both residential and commercial water systems that require frequent cleaning to manage sediment and debris. Its direct acting integral by-pass design prevents the buildup of excessive system pressure caused by thermal expansion, while the balanced piston design allows for a smooth and responsive reaction to changes in system flow demand, ensuring protection from inlet pressure fluctuations. The valve complies with several standards, including a maximum hot water temperature of 140°F at 100 PSI and a cold water rated temperature of 73.4°F at 400 PSI. It is ASSE listed 1003, IAPMO listed, CSA certified, City of Los Angeles approved, and NSF listed under standard 61, annex G, and is certified to NSF/ANSI 372 by IAPMO R&T.
