The Zurn 1-70XL Pressure Reducing Valve is a lead-free, FNPT single union x FNPT valve designed for installation on potable water lines to effectively reduce high inlet pressure to a lower outlet pressure. This valve features a unitized replaceable cartridge that minimizes the time involved with cleaning and maintenance. Its direct acting integral bypass design prevents the buildup of excessive system pressure caused by thermal expansion. Additionally, the balanced piston design allows the regulator to respond smoothly and responsively to changes in system flow demand while providing protection from inlet pressure fluctuations. The valve meets several standards for compliance, including ASSE® Listed 1003, IAPMO® Listed, CSA® Certified, City of Los Angeles approved, and NSF® Listed under Standard 61, Annex G, as well as being certified to NSF/ANSI 372 by IAPMO R&T.
