The Ultra-Trench Filter Boom® is designed to prevent oil and other hydrocarbons from entering trench drains, addressing the challenges presented by their long, narrow, and shallow shape. By positioning the filtering solution above the drain, it effectively treats water before it reaches the drain, utilizing Ultra-Filter-Tex® material, which quickly captures hydrocarbons from stormwater flow, ensuring only clean rainwater enters the drain. This high-performance sorbent and filtering media can absorb an average of 13 times its own weight in liquid hydrocarbons. The filter boom allows significant volumes of water to pass through while absorbing petroleum, animal, and vegetable oils. Its center is designed for rebar (not included) insertion, providing added weight for stability, and it is robust enough to withstand any type of vehicular traffic, unlike conventional sorbent "socks" that may burst or deform under such conditions. The product also assists in compliance with NPDES, 40 CFR 122.26 (1999), SWPPP, and TMDL requirements, and is made in the USA.
