The 3M™ 426U Stikit™ paper disc roll features 6" x NH silicon carbide discs, with 125 discs per roll, designed for a variety of applications such as finishing, lacquer sanding, orbital sanding, scuffing, sealant removal, and varnish stripping in cabinetry, custom woodworking, millwork, and furniture industries. The multiple sanding discs are conveniently packaged in a roll, making them ideal for high-production environments and suitable for tasks that require a fine finish, like white wood sanding and sealer sanding. These discs are constructed with silicon carbide abrasive, known for fast cutting and producing a smoother finish compared to aluminum oxide or garnet abrasives, making them effective for finishing on hardwoods and solid surfaces. The A-weight light paper backing with a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) allows for flexibility over contours while ensuring the disc remains securely attached during use, facilitating quick change-outs during multi-step sanding and finishing processes. These discs are compatible with rotary and random orbital sanders and are suitable for general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, prep before staining or painting, and bare wood sanding. The open coat construction minimizes loading by allowing dust and debris to collect in the spaces between the abrasive grains, maintaining cutting efficiency and providing a more aggressive cut than comparable closed coat abrasives of the same grade.
