The 3M™ 426U Stikit™ paper disc roll measures 5" x NH and includes 175 discs per roll, designed specifically for diverse sanding and finishing applications. These high-quality abrasive products come pre-coated with a pressure sensitive adhesive on the backside, allowing for easy application to a backup pad or hand pad, and ensuring clean removal without contaminating surfaces. The 426U discs are ideal for high-production environments, particularly in tasks such as white wood sanding, sealer sanding, and achieving fine finishes on solid surfaces. Each disc features silicon carbide abrasive with a load-resistant coating and open coat construction, which minimizes loading and enhances cutting efficiency. The selected silicon carbide abrasive provides a faster cut and a smoother finish compared to aluminum oxide or garnet abrasives, making it suitable for hard woods and solid surfaces. Constructed with A-weight, light paper, these discs flex with the backup pad, effectively contouring to produce consistent finishes. The adhesive backing secures the disc during use while allowing for quick changes in multi-step sanding and finishing processes. They are compatible with rotary and random orbital sanders and are applicable for general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, and preparation before staining or painting, as well as bare wood sanding. The open coat design ensures that dust and debris accumulate in the spaces between abrasive grains, preventing loading and prolonging disc effectiveness, while providing a more aggressive cut compared to standard discs.
