The 3M™ 426U Stikit™ paper D/F disc roll measures 5" x NH and includes 175 silicon carbide discs, each with a grit rating of 220. This product is designed for applications such as finishing, lacquer sanding, orbital sanding, scuffing, sealant removal, varnish stripping, cabinetry, custom woodworking, millwork, and furniture processing. It is particularly suited for high-production environments where fine finishes are critical, making it ideal for white wood sanding, sealer sanding, and solid surfaces. The discs feature a load-resistant coating and an open coat abrasive design that minimizes loading, allowing for better cutting and a smoother finish compared to aluminum oxide or garnet abrasives, especially on hard woods and solid surfaces. Constructed with A-weight, light paper and a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing, the discs flex with backup pads to ensure consistent finishes. They are compatible with both rotary and random orbital sanders, and are suitable for general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, and prep work before staining or painting. Additionally, the open coat construction allows dust and debris to collect in the spaces between the abrasive grains, reducing loading and maintaining the effectiveness of the discs over time.
