Engineered to perform in the harshest conditions, the HazardGard meets T4 temperature classifications and is designed to cool laboratories, control rooms, living quarters, storage areas, and other enclosures situated in hazardous locations where specific volatile flammable liquids or gases are handled or used within enclosed containers or systems. This unit comes with a sleeve that can be installed in a window or through-the-wall, provided the wall depth meets specifications. It features a hermetically sealed reciprocating compressor that is cooled during the refrigeration cycle, enabling the unit to tolerate higher outdoor temperatures of up to 130°F. The environmentally sealed on/off switch and gold-plated contacts in the thermostat enhance corrosion resistance, while solid-state control relays are utilized for compressor and fan operation. The larger commercial-grade enclosed fan motor is equipped with a hermetically sealed overload for arc-free operation and is totally enclosed to assure efficient performance under adverse electrical conditions. The 22 GA, G60 steel air conditioner cabinet is powder coated for corrosion protection and designed to withstand years of hard use. Additionally, the coils are coated for corrosion resistance, and the DiamondBlue advanced corrosion protection® on the outdoor coil protects against deterioration, extending the unit's life, especially in coastal or corrosive environments.
