The unit heater is designed for both horizontal and vertical mount downflow applications, delivering 3 kW at 240V, 1PH, and serves as an auxiliary, supplementary, or primary heat source in various settings such as factories, stores, garages, basements, warehouses, public buildings, service stations, stock rooms, offices, and large or exposed areas. It features adjustable louvers for optimal control of air throw direction, with stops to prevent complete closure of the discharge area, and offers 360° positioning. The aluminum-finned, copper clad steel sheath heating element enhances longevity due to cooler sheath temperatures and improved heat dissipation. This forced air unit heater boasts 10 power ratings ranging from 3 kW to 50 kW heating output, compatible with 208, 240, 277, and 480V, translating to 10,230 to 170,600 BTU/HR. It supports 1- or 3-phase wiring on 5 through 10 kW 208/240V and 15 kW 208V units (field interchangeable) and includes branch circuit fusing as necessary, adhering to NEC requirements for a maximum of 24 amps per circuit. The unit is equipped with a 2-speed fan selector switch on the 25 to 50 kW models, and automatic control that delays fan action until the heating element is warm, ensuring that the fan continues to operate until the heating element cools down, thereby enhancing comfort and extending component life. Additionally, it features an automatic reset linear thermal cut-out capillary type for protection over the entire length of the heating element; manual reset protection is available upon request. The specially designed venturi outlet ensures optimal throw in vertical positioning, while heavy gauge die-formed steel housing and large, dynamically balanced fan blades minimize turbulence and noise, making it both rugged and lightweight for easier installation.
