The Bearings Limited J1616 OH needle bearing is a drawn cup, caged design with an oil hole and a bore size of 25.4mm. As a type of roller bearing, it is classified based on the direction of the load it supports, being available as either radial or thrust bearings. These needle roller bearings are designed with rollers that exceed the size range of typical needle rollers as defined by ISO, and they come in two types: caged and full complement. The drawn cup outer rings are constructed from carefully selected alloy steel sheet and are surface-hardened following precise pressing to ensure durability. The cage within the needle bearing is engineered to accurately guide the rollers at the pitch diameter, while the hardened surface of the cage minimizes frictional torque, enhancing rigidity and wear resistance.
