QwikDescaler® Concentrated Descaler Solution QT7710 is a 1-gallon product designed to effectively dissolve water scale, lime, rust, and other water-formed deposits. This solution is ideal for restoring efficiency to heat exchangers, heaters, tankless water heaters, and various appliances requiring clean flow passages free from mineral deposits. By keeping heating passages clear, it significantly improves efficiency, conserves energy, reduces energy costs, and extends the lifespan of equipment. The unique color-indicating chemistry alerts users to the descaling solution's status; it appears reddish at working strength and turns yellowish when exhausted, signaling the need for more QwikDescaler® to be added. The system is considered clean when the reddish color persists for 10 minutes. This descaler safely restores equipment to full efficiency and enhances flow passages, as even a thin layer of calcium scale—just 0.03 inches—can increase energy consumption by 30%.
