The Prime-Line® latch shield, model U 9513, measures 12"H and features a gray painted finish designed to enhance security for wood or metal inswing doors by providing interlocking brackets that protect against forced entry. The installation process is straightforward, requiring no mortising, and utilizes special fasteners that include tamper-resistant one-way screws. The kit includes a two-piece shield comprising one door channel and one interlocking jamb bar, along with a set of fasteners that consists of three #10 x 1-1/4" tamper-resistant screws, two #8 x 1" Phillips flat head screws, and two #10 x 3/4" Phillips pan head screws. This latch shield is constructed from steel, ensuring durability and reliability in securing doors.
