These sturdy and stable folding parallel bars with a 42" base require only 14" of floor space when not in use. The wood base unit comes with one stabilizing bar to lock the parallel bars in an open position. To store the space-saving bars, simply unlock and slide until the handrails are nearly touching, adding 3 feet to the length when folded. The overall dimensions are 7' in length with the wood base measuring 42"L x 7"W x 1-1/4"H and the steel base measuring 42"L x 5"W x 1/4"H. The height adjusts from 22" to 36"H, and the width adjusts from 16" to 24"W. The handrail size is 1-1/2" in diameter and allows wheelchair access with a clearance of 31-1/2" between the posts. Additionally, it can be used with the optional model 15-4037 divider board, which will need to be cut down to size.
