These sturdy and stable folding parallel bars feature a 42" base and require only 14" of floor space when not in use. The wood base unit includes one stabilizing bar to lock the parallel bars in the open position, and storage is simplified as the space-saving bars unlock and slide until the handrails are nearly touching, adding 3 feet to the length when folded. The overall length of the bars is 7'. The dimensions for the wood base are 42" L x 7" W x 1-1/4" H, while the steel base measures 42" L x 5" W x 1/4" H. The height of the bars can be adjusted from 22" to 36" H, and the width can be adjusted from 16" to 24" W. The hand rail size is 1-1/2" in diameter, and the parallel bars allow for wheelchair access with a clearance of 31-1/2" between the posts. The kit may be used with an optional Model 90 divider board for added functionality.
