Filter large volumes quickly with a polyethylene plastic table-top Buchner funnel that includes a removable hose barbed connector which accepts a 12.7mm (1/2") I.D. tube and threads into a 3/4" NPT bung on the funnel. The funnel supports fixed or removable Fritware® porous filter plates that are backed by a multiple ring grid; the plates are made of HDPE, 6.4mm (1/4") thick, with a non-porous ring at the periphery which seals filter paper when in use. Fritware® porous filter plates are available in two porosities: medium (45-90 microns) and coarse (90-130 microns), with a use temperature range maximum of 52°C (125°F) and minimum of -80°C (-112°F). Alternatively, fixed or removable perforated filter plates are made of 4.8mm (3/16") thick HDPE with 4.8mm (3/16") perforations on 11mm (7/16") centers; fixed plates are used for coarse filtration or with cloth/paper filters, while removable plates are designed for precious metals recovery, also with a maximum use temperature of 52°C (125°F) and a minimum of -80°C (-112°F). Additionally, the F36820-0118 funnel trowel is included for quickly and efficiently smoothing fissures during the filtration process.
