The polyethylene plastic table-top Buchner funnel is designed to filter large volumes quickly and features your choice of Fritware® or perforated filter plates. It includes a removable hose barbed connector that accepts a 12.7mm (1/2") I.D. tube and threads into a 3/4" NPT bung on the funnel. The funnel supports fixed or removable Fritware® porous filter plates that are made from HDPE, measuring 6.4mm (1/4") thick, and feature a non-porous ring at the periphery to seal filter paper during use. Fritware® filter plates are available in two porosities: medium (45-90 microns) and coarse (90-130 microns), with a temperature range of -80°C (-112°F) to 52°C (125°F). The fixed or removable perforated filter plates are also made of 4.8mm (3/16") thick HDPE, featuring 4.8mm (3/16") perforations on 11mm (7/16") centers, suitable for coarse filtration or use with cloth or paper filters. These plates can be utilized in precious metals recovery, with the same temperature range as the Fritware® plates. For added efficiency, the F36820-0118 funnel trowel can be used to quickly and effectively smooth fissures that may appear during the filtration process.
