The polyethylene plastic table-top Buchner funnel is designed for efficiently filtering large volumes, featuring an option between Fritware® or perforated filter plates. It includes a removable hose barbed connector that accommodates a 12.7mm (1/2") I.D. tube and threads into a 3/4" NPT bung on the funnel. The funnel supports fixed or removable Fritware® porous filter plates, constructed from 6.4mm (1/4") thick HDPE, which incorporates a non-porous ring at the periphery to securely seal filter paper during use. The Fritware® filter plates come in two porosities: medium (45-90 microns) and coarse (90-130 microns), with an operational temperature range of -80°C (-112°F) to 52°C (125°F). Alternatively, the fixed or removable perforated filter plates, made from 4.8mm (3/16") thick HDPE with 4.8mm (3/16") perforations spaced at 11mm (7/16") centers, are suitable for coarse filtration or for use with cloth or paper filters. The removable version is particularly beneficial for precious metals recovery and shares the same temperature range specifications as the Fritware® plates. Additionally, the funnel trowel (F36820-0118) is included to facilitate the smoothing of fissures that may occur during the filtration process.
