The polyethylene plastic table-top Buchner funnel is designed for efficient filtration of large volumes, featuring a choice between Fritware® or perforated filter plates. It includes a removable hose barbed connector that accepts a 12.7mm (1/2") I.D. tube and threads into a 3/4" NPT bung on the funnel. The funnel supports fixed or removable Fritware® porous filter plates made of HDPE, which are 6.4mm (1/4") thick and designed with a non-porous ring at the periphery to seal filter paper. Fritware® porous filter plates come in two porosities: medium (45-90 microns) and coarse (90-130 microns), with a use temperature range of maximum 52°C (125°F) and minimum -80°C (-112°F). Additionally, fixed or removable perforated filter plates made of 4.8mm (3/16") thick HDPE feature 4.8mm (3/16") perforations on 11mm (7/16") centers. The fixed perforated filter plates are intended for coarse filtration or use with cloth or paper filters, while the removable option is suitable for precious metals recovery, also adhering to the same temperature range. To facilitate the filtration process, the F36820-0118 funnel trowel is included for smoothing fissures.
