The polyethylene plastic table-top Buchner funnel is designed for efficient filtration of large volumes, featuring a removable hose barbed connector that accommodates a 12.7mm (1/2") I.D. tube and threads into a 3/4" NPT bung on the funnel. It comes with the option of either Fritware® or perforated filter plates. The Fritware® porous filter plates, available in medium and coarse porosities (45-90 microns and 90-130 microns, respectively), are supported by a multiple ring grid and constructed from 6.4mm (1/4") thick HDPE with a non-porous ring that seals filter paper during use, while maintaining a temperature range of -80°C (-112°F) to a maximum of 52°C (125°F). The fixed and removable perforated filter plates are 4.8mm (3/16") thick, featuring 4.8mm (3/16") perforations on 11mm (7/16") centers; the fixed versions are suited for coarse filtration or for use with cloth or paper filters, while the removable variants are ideal for precious metals recovery, retaining the same temperature range. Additionally, the F36820-0118 funnel trowel is included to facilitate the smoothing of fissures during the filtration process.
