The polyethylene plastic table-top Buchner funnel is designed for filtering large volumes quickly, featuring options for either Fritware® or perforated filter plates. It includes a removable hose barbed connector that accepts a 12.7mm (1/2") I.D. tube and threads into a 3/4" NPT bung on the funnel. The funnel supports fixed or removable Fritware® porous filter plates, which are constructed from HDPE, measuring 6.4mm (1/4") thick and equipped with a non-porous ring at the periphery to seal filter paper when in use. Fritware® plates come in two porosities: medium (45-90 microns) and coarse (90-130 microns), with a use temperature range of maximum 52°C (125°F) and minimum -80°C (-112°F). The fixed or removable perforated filter plates are made of 4.8mm (3/16") thick HDPE, with 4.8mm (3/16") perforations spaced on 11mm (7/16") centers. These perforated plates are available in fixed (for coarse filtration or use with cloth or paper filters) or removable versions (ideal for precious metals recovery), also supporting the same temperature range. For enhancing the filtration process, the kit includes the F36820-0118 funnel trowel to smooth out fissures that may appear during filtration.
