Eagle's 55 gallon manual close vertical drum storage safety cabinet is designed to safely contain a 55-gallon drum of flammable liquid and includes a convenient half shelf for additional storage space along with drum supports to keep drums elevated off the cabinet sump. Constructed of 18-gauge (1 mm) steel, the cabinet features reinforced double-wall construction with a 1-1/2 in (3.8 cm) air space on the sides, top, bottom, back, and doors. It has a lead-free, high-gloss, baked-on powder finish with red trilingual warning labels, a grounding attachment, four adjustable galvanized leveling legs, continuous piano hinges, and a 2 in (5.1 cm) raised, leakproof door sill. The patented adjustable galvanized steel shelves, supported by four brackets and adjustable on 3 in (7.6 cm) centers, direct spills to the back and bottom of the leakproof sump and hold up to 350 lbs (159 kg) of uniform distributed load. The cabinet includes two 2 in (5.1 cm) internal vents each with a fire baffle and cap, flush-mounted door handle with key lock, three-point stainless steel bullet latching system, and self-latching manual close doors with a 180-degree opening. Its internal dimensions are 30.75"W x 30.34"D x 60.5"H. The cabinet meets NFPA Code 30 and OSHA requirements. Some states and municipalities may require self-closing doors on flammable safety cabinets; this model has manual closing doors, so local ordinances should be reviewed prior to purchase.
