Eagle's 55 gallon, self-closing, vertical drum storage safety cabinet is designed to safely contain a 55-gallon drum of flammable liquid. It includes a convenient half shelf for additional storage of accessories or containers and drum supports to keep drums elevated off the cabinet sump. Constructed of 18-gauge (1 mm) steel, the sides, top, bottom, back, and doors are double-walled with a 1-1/2 in (3.8 cm) air space between walls. The cabinet features two 2 in (5.1 cm) internal vents with threaded fittings, fire baffle, and cap, a patented adjustable galvanized steel shelf system that directs spills to the back and bottom of the leakproof sump while supporting a 350 lbs (158.8 kg) uniform distributed load. The cabinet has a high-gloss, lead-free, baked-on powder coat finish with red trilingual warning labels, a grounding attachment, continuous piano hinges, four adjustable galvanized leveling legs, and a 2 in (5.1 cm) raised leakproof door sill. The flush-mounted door handle includes a key lock and a three-point stainless steel bullet latching system. The self-latching doors are self-closing with a 135-degree opening and feature a concealed self-close mechanism allowing obstruction-free access to the top shelf. Additionally, the self-indexing door system ensures doors close in sequence for a tight seal from top to bottom. Cabinets meet NFPA Code 30 and OSHA requirements.
