Eagle's 55-gallon, self-closing, haz-mat vertical drum storage safety cabinet is designed to safely contain a 55-gallon drum of flammable liquid or hazardous waste. Constructed of 18-gauge (1 mm) steel with reinforced double-wall construction featuring a 1-1/2 in (3.8 cm) air space on sides, top, bottom, back, and doors, the cabinet includes a high-gloss, lead-free, baked-on powder finish and continuous piano hinges. It has a convenient half shelf adjustable on 3 in (7.6 cm) centers, supported by four brackets and capable of holding a 350 lbs (159 kg) uniform distributed load, as well as drum rollers for easy handling. The cabinet features two 2 in (5.1 cm) threaded internal vents with fire baffles and caps, a 2 in (5.1 cm) raised, leakproof door sill, a grounding attachment, a flush-mounted door handle with key lock, and a three-point stainless steel bullet latching system. The doors are self-latching and self-closing with a 135° opening, incorporating a concealed self-close mechanism for obstruction-free access to the top shelf space and self-indexing to ensure tight sequential closure from top to bottom. It includes trilingual warning labels, four adjustable galvanized leveling legs, and direct spills from patented adjustable galvanized steel shelves to the back and bottom of a leakproof sump. The internal welded construction and external finish comply with NFPA Code 30 and OSHA requirements. Internal dimensions measure 30.75 inches.
