Eagle's 4 gallon self-closing bench top acid and corrosive safety cabinet is constructed of 18-gauge (1 mm) steel, featuring reinforced double wall construction with a 1-1/2 in (3.8 cm) air space on all sides, top, bottom, back, and doors. The cabinet includes two internal vents with 2 in (5.1 cm) threaded fittings, equipped with a fire baffle and cap, and is finished with a lead-free, high-gloss, baked-on powder coating. It is designed with continuous piano hinges, a ground connection, and four adjustable galvanized leveling legs, and features trilingual warning labels along with a 2 in (5.1 cm) raised leakproof sill. The adjustable galvanized steel shelves, which hold a safe allowable load of 350 lbs (159 kg), direct spills to the back and bottom of the leakproof sump. The construction is fully welded, both internally and externally, and includes a flush mounted door handle with key lock and a three-point stainless steel bullet latching system. The cabinet is designed with self-latching doors that close automatically at a 135-degree opening, and a concealed self-close mechanism allows unrestricted access to the top shelf space. The internal dimensions are 13.75"W x 13.75"D x 17.5"H. This cabinet meets NFPA Code 30 and OSHA requirements and is not recommended for use with sulfuric, nitric, or hydrochloric acids.
