The brake motor has a power rating of 1 HP, operates at 1725 RPM, and features a 56 frame size with a drip-proof (DP) design. It is rated for 208-230/460V, 3 PH, in continuous duty with no thermal protection and a 1.15 service factor, and is designed for rigid mounting. This motor incorporates a fail-safe positive, stop and hold brake that is spring set, ensuring that the load is automatically stopped when power is turned off. For convenience and emergency situations, the brake motors include a power-off manual release that resets automatically. The standard brake is manufactured by Stearns, and the brake coil leads are conveniently brought into the conduit box of the motor for easy connection; these may be configured to operate when power to the motor is shut off or to be actuated independently of motor power. The brake coils of the three-phase motors are rated for 230/460 VAC at 60 Hz.
