The Thermo Scientific™ Lindberg/Blue™ Moldatherm™ box furnaces are designed to minimize outer surface temperatures while ensuring uniform heat distribution within the chamber, making them suitable for demanding laboratory applications. These furnaces feature unique double wall construction that enhances operator safety and energy efficiency, side-hinge doors for convenient operation and full chamber access, and long-life type K thermocouples. Other specifications include an air vent (1" diameter, top) and air inlet (0.375" diameter, rear) for inert atmosphere exchange, with some leakage expected at the door. The removable and replaceable Moldatherm hearth plate supports loads and prevents damage due to spillage. With energy-efficient Moldatherm insulation integrated with heating elements, the furnaces also come equipped with a safety door switch that interrupts power to the heating element when the door is opened, protecting both the heating element and the end-user from exposure. Additionally, over-temperature protection (OTP) settings safeguard the furnace or loaded chamber from excessive heat. The controller offers a single setpoint with one ramp to setpoint to adjust the heat-up rate, and it maintains the temperature at this level, with an LED display showing both the setpoint and actual furnace temperatures.
