The Gravity skatewheel conveyor is designed to convey lightweight loads with firm, flat conveying surfaces such as cartons, totes, and cases. It is lighter than roller conveyors, making it ideal for quick temporary setups, and includes quick connecting hook and rod couplers. The skatewheels roll freely, which makes them better suited for conveying lighter packages. The aluminum conveyors are lighter in weight for easier handling, whereas galvanized steel conveyors are heavier and more durable. The wheels are 1-15/16" diameter, pre-lubricated aluminum with a 1/4" bore, and have a capacity of 75 lbs. The construction features 1" x 2-1/2" x 1" frames made from 1/8" heat-treated aluminum, with 1/4" diameter steel axles spaced on 3" centers, one end of which is threaded with a locking nut. Wheel per foot (WPF) values are specified per line item, and hook and rod couplers are zinc plated. Skatewheel sections are measured by overall width (OAW). Aluminum frame capacities for evenly distributed non-impact loads are 16 lbs. per foot with supports spaced 10' apart and 150 lbs. per foot with supports spaced 5' apart. The system includes the conveyor sections with the described components and offers options for lightweight or durable configurations based on aluminum or galvanized steel.
