3M™ Wetordry™ Paper Disc 431Q features extra-fast cutting silicon carbide on a strong, waterproof paper backing, providing superior finishing for both wet and dry applications on a variety of substrates. These discs can be used with water to prevent dust and debris from clogging the abrasive points, which helps reduce airborne dust while ensuring a faster cut. They are versatile for surfaces that generate a lot of dust, such as paint, primer, and wood, and can also be used dry for finishing metal and gel coats. The adhesive backing allows for easy attachment to a random orbital sander. Silicon carbide is a hard mineral that fractures easily, resulting in freshly exposed sharp edges for quick cuts and a smooth, professional-looking finish. While it wears faster than aluminum oxide, it delivers a superior finish. 3M™ Wetordry™ products come with a durable waterproof paper backing that supports both wet and dry applications, and its lighter weight and smooth texture make it preferable for finishing and paint prep.
