The general purpose, capacitor start-inductor run motor has a power of 3HP and operates at a speed of 1740 RPM. It features a drip-proof (DP) enclosure with a 184 frame and is designed for C face mounting. The motor operates at a voltage of 115/230V with a single phase (1PH) at a frequency of 60Hz. The name plate amps are 33.8/16.9, and it is rated for continuous duty with a service factor of 1.15. Its efficiency is rated at 75.5 with a standard efficiency type, and it can operate in an ambient temperature of up to 40 C. It allows for selective counterclockwise (CCW) rotation and has a shaft length of 2-1/4 inches and a shaft diameter of 1 1/8 inches. The drip-proof design includes vents in the end shield and/or frame to prevent liquid drops from entering the motor within a 15-degree angle from vertical, making it suitable for reasonably dry, clean, and well-ventilated indoor areas.
