The general-purpose, capacitor start-capacitor run motor features a power rating of 5HP and operates at 3500 RPM with a drip-proof (DP) enclosure, suitable for various applications. It has a 184 frame and is designed for rigid mounting, operating on 208-230V, single phase, at 60Hz, with name plate amps ranging from 24 to 22. This motor is built for continuous duty with a service factor of 1.15 and does not include thermal protection. Efficiency is rated at 80 with a standard efficiency type, and it is designed for ambient temperatures up to 40°C. The motor allows for selective counterclockwise (CCW) rotation and features a shaft length of 2-1/4 inches and a shaft diameter of 1-1/8 inches. The drip-proof enclosure includes vents in the end shield and/or frame to prevent liquid droplets from entering the motor within a 15-degree angle from vertical, making it suitable for reasonably dry, clean, and well-ventilated areas, ideally indoors. For outdoor installation, it is recommended that the motor be protected by a cover that does not impede air flow. The rigid base design permits secure mounting on equipment.
