The Sundstrom SR 530 Hood is a long, lightweight hood designed to cover the face and head, featuring an easily adjustable headband suspension and a visor made of chemical-resistant CA. It includes the SR 520 loose-fitting hood in size short M/L along with a PUR (polyurethane) breathing hose, and it provides respiratory protection with an Assigned Protection Factor (APF) of 1,000. The SR 520 hood is intended for use with the Sundstrom SR 500 PAPR fan unit, which acts as a belt-mounted powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) to protect against particulates, gases, and vapors, or a combination of both. The fan unit is sold separately.
