The SDS-Plus standard tip fits all SDS-Plus and Hilti TE-C rotary hammers and features a reduced area above the flute to prevent the drill bit from binding during use, allowing the full usable length to be utilized. It has a chrome vanadium shaft that is through-hardened to 50-53 HRC. The patented tip and flute design improves dust removal efficiency, making it up to 25% faster than other bits. The bit has a shot-peened, double-tempered finish to reduce breakage and is hot isostatically pressed to extend its life and resistance to breakage. Additionally, the copper braze material provides high heat resistance to minimize tip loss. All tips are manufactured to ANSI specifications.
