The 1 cu. yd. self-dumping galvanized hopper features the Bump Release D-100-HD-GAL heavy-duty design, capable of handling loads up to 6000 lb. This self-dumping steel hopper automatically dumps when the bumper release makes contact with the side of a dumpster and returns to an upright and locked position after dumping. The kit includes a cable for manual operation from the seat of the fork truck and a safety restraint that should be secured to the fork truck prior to dumping. The hopper is stackable when the top hopper is turned 90° from the bottom. This self-dumping hopper also meets OSHA General Industry Rule 29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(iii), enabling lift truck operators to remain at the controls during the dumping process. Note that OSHA mandates contacting the manufacturer of the fork truck for written approval for the use of any fork truck attachments.
