The Jet-designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing guarantees rigidity and tolerance retention, while the swing away control box, equipped with an emergency stop (E-stop), places all controls within easy reach of the operator. This machine features an innovative base design that simplifies leveling without needing to lift it off the floor. An automatic oiler delivers 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication every 30 minutes, and a heavy-duty spindle brake enhances safety by stopping the spindle and cutting power to prevent accidental start-ups. The relocated electrical box at the back of the mill includes two 115V outlets for powered accessories. It is CSA/CUS certified and employs Class 7 spindle bearings for maximum rigidity during heavy cutting. The spindle head is internally cooled to extend the life of bearings, belts, and the motor. The hardened table and ways, precision ground to 54 HRC, provide greater accuracy, while the X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B to minimize vibration and ensure smooth movements. Additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and a toolbox including tools. The specifications include a digital readout (Newall DP700), a 3-axis quill, power feed for X and Y-axis, R-8 spindle taper, a 9" x 49" table size, a 3-3/8" quill diameter, variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, quill down feed rates of .0015, .003, and .006 IPR, 5" spindle travel, head movement of 90° right and left, and 45° forward and back. The maximum distance from the spindle to the table is 20-3/4", while the distance from the spindle to the column varies from a minimum of 4-3/4" to a maximum of 18-1/8". The machine accommodates collets ranging from 1/8" to 7/8", offers a table longitudinal travel of 36" (30-3/4" with power feed), and a table cross travel of 12-5/8". It features three T-slots measuring 5/8" each with centers spaced at 2-1/2". The work table has a weight capacity of 1,500 lbs and is backed by a 2-year warranty.
