Product Details
The Jet vertical milling machine features a certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for improved rigidity and tolerance retention, along with a swing away control box that houses an e-stop and places all controls conveniently at the operator's fingertips. The machine base's innovative design allows for easy leveling without lifting the machine off the floor, and an automatic oiler delivers 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication every 30 minutes. For safety, it includes a heavy-duty spindle brake that stops the spindle and interrupts power to prevent accidental start-ups. The electrical box, relocated to the back of the mill, includes two 115V outlets for powered accessories and is CSA/CUS certified. The machine is equipped with Class 7 spindle bearings for maximum rigidity during heavy cutting and features an internally cooled spindle head to extend the life of bearings, belts, and motors. The hardened table and ways, machined to 54 HRC, provide precision ground surfaces for accuracy, while the Turcite-B coating on the X and Y-axis reduces vibration and enhances smooth movements. Included features are a swing away safety shield, an LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, a drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications include a digital readout of ACU-RITE 200S, 3-axis knee, X-axis power feed, R-8 spindle taper, table size of 9" x 49", a quill diameter of 3-3/8", variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, quill down feed rates of .0015, .003, and .006 inches per revolution, spindle travel of 5", head movement of 90° right and left, and 45° front and back, with a maximum distance from spindle to table of 20-3/4", and minimum distance from spindle to column of 4-3/4". The collet capacity ranges from 1/8 to 7/8 inches, with a table longitudinal travel of 36 inches and 30-3/4 inches with power feed, a table cross travel of 12-5/8 inches, three T-slots measuring 5/8 inches wide with centers set at 2-1/2 inches, and a work table weight capacity. Warranty information terms apply.
