The Jet designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing ensures rigidity and tolerance retention, while the swing away control box houses an E-stop and provides all controls at the operator's fingertips. It features an innovative machine base design that simplifies leveling without the need to raise the machine off the floor. An automatic oiler releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication every 30 minutes, and for added safety, a heavy-duty spindle brake stops the spindle and interrupts power to prevent accidental start-ups. The relocated electrical box at the back of the mill contains two 115V outlets for powered accessories. The machine is CSA/CUS certified and equipped with Class 7 spindle bearings, which support the spindle for maximum rigidity during heavy cutting applications. The spindle head is internally cooled to extend the life of the bearings, belt, and motor. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for enhanced accuracy. The X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B to reduce vibration and ensure smooth movements. Additional features include a swing away safety shield, an LED work lamp, a chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, a drawbar, and a toolbox with tools.
