The Jet designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing ensures rigidity and tolerance retention. The swing away control box houses an E-stop and puts all controls at the operator's fingertips, while the innovative machine base design allows for easy leveling without raising the machine off the floor. The automatic oiler releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication every 30 minutes and a heavy-duty spindle brake enhances safety by stopping the spindle and interrupting power to prevent accidental start-ups. The electrical box, relocated to the back of the mill, includes two 115V outlets for powered accessories, and the unit is CSA/CUS certified. Class 7 spindle bearings provide maximum rigidity in heavy cutting applications, and the spindle head is internally cooled to extend the life of bearings, belts, and motors. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for enhanced accuracy, while the X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B for reduced vibration and smooth movement. Additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, a drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications include a digital readout of Acu-Rite 200S, a dual-axis powerfeed for the X and Y-axis, an R-8 spindle taper, a table size of 9" x 49", a quill diameter of 3-3/8", variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, quill down feed rates of .0015, .003, and .006 IPR, spindle travel of 5", head movement of 90° right and left, and 45° forward and backward. The maximum distance from the spindle to the table is 20-3/4", with a minimum distance to the column of 4-3/4" and a maximum of 18-1/8". The collet capacity ranges from 1/8 to 7/8, with a table longitudinal travel of 36" and 30-3/4" with powerfeed, cross travel of 12-5/8", and three T-slots measuring 5/8" with centers at 2-1/2".
