The JTM-1 and 2 models are equipped with a three-stage power down feed that features an automatic stop, high precision class 7 spindle bearings, and the rugged stability of certified Meehanite® castings, ensuring optimal performance. The internally cooled spindle head prevents seizing, while Jet precision engineering delivers superior results. The milling head is precision bored and honed, complemented by a large diameter chromed quill and heavy-duty splined motor drive. The machines include a one-piece quill pinion and shaft, a heavy-duty spindle brake, precision hardened and ground ways, and a precision ground table. Standard equipment features an internal coolant tank built into the base (coolant pump not included), a tolerance test sheet, a one-shot lubrication system, way covers, a draw bar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications include a digital readout from Newall DP500, power feed for the X and Y-axis, an R-8 spindle taper, a table size of 9" x 42", a quill diameter of 3-3/8", eight spindle speeds ranging from 80 to 2,720 RPM, and quill down feed rates of .0015, .003, and .006 IPR. The spindle travel is 5", with head movement of 90° right and left and 45° forward and backward. The maximum distance from the spindle to the table is 17-1/2", with a maximum distance of 19" and a minimum distance of 4-1/2" from the spindle to the column. The collet capacity is between 1/8" and 7/8", with table longitudinal travel of 23-7/8" (20-2/7" with power feed) and cross travel of 12-1/2".
