Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. JET mills come equipped with features such as a JET designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing to ensure rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box that houses an E-stop and puts all controls at the operator's fingertips, and an innovative machine base design for easy leveling. It includes an automatic oiler that releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable time intervals, a heavy-duty spindle brake for added safety, and a relocated electrical box with two 115V outlets for powered accessories. The machine is CSA/CUS certified, features Class 7 spindle bearings for maximum rigidity in heavy cutting applications, an internally cooled spindle head to extend bearing, belt, and motor life, and a precision ground table and ways hardened up to 54 HRC for greater accuracy. The X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B to reduce vibration, and additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, a drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications for the milling machine include a power feed on the X-axis, a pneumatic power draw bar, an R-8 spindle taper, a table size of 10" x 50", a quill diameter of 3-3/8", variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, quill down feed rates of .0015 - .003 - .006 IPR, and a spindle travel of 5".
