Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. Jet mills have features you've come to expect and are backed by the industry-leading Jet two-year warranty. The machine features Jet designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for improved rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box with an E-stop for operator accessibility, and an innovative base design for easy leveling. It includes an automatic oiler that releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable intervals, a heavy-duty spindle brake for safety, and a relocated electrical box with two 115V outlets. Certified by CSA/CUS, it is equipped with Class 7 spindle bearings for maximum rigidity during heavy cutting, internally cooled spindle head for extended life, hardened and precision ground table with ways up to 54 HRC for accuracy, and X and Y-axis coated with Turcite-B for reduced vibration. Additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications include power feed for X, Y and Z-axis, R-8 spindle taper, table size of 10" x 50", quill diameter of 3-3/8", variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, quill down feed rates of .0015 - .003 - .006 IPR, spindle travel of 5", and head movement of 90°.
