Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. JET mills have features such as certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box with an E-stop for operator convenience, and an innovative machine base design that simplifies leveling. It includes an automatic oiler that releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable intervals, a heavy-duty spindle brake for added safety, and a relocated electrical box housing two 115V outlets for powered accessories. The machine is CSA/CUS certified, features Class 7 spindle bearings for maximum rigidity, and an internally cooled spindle head to extend the life of bearings, belts, and motors. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for accuracy, while the X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B to reduce vibration and promote smooth movements. Additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, a drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications include power feed for the X and Y-axis, R-8 spindle taper, a table size of 10" x 50", a quill diameter of 3-3/8", variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, quill down feed rates of .0015 - .003 - .006 IPR, a spindle travel of 5", and head movement of 90° R & L.
