Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. JET mills are equipped with features such as a certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box with an E-stop that puts all controls at the operator's fingertips, and an innovative machine base that simplifies leveling. The automatic oiler releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable intervals, and a heavy-duty spindle brake enhances safety by stopping the spindle and interrupting power to prevent accidental start-ups. The relocated electrical box houses two 115V outlets for powered accessories and the machine is CSA/CUS certified. Class 7 spindle bearings support the spindle for maximum rigidity during heavy cutting, while the internally cooled spindle head extends the life of the bearings, belt, and motor. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for greater accuracy, with the X and Y-axis coated in Turcite-B for reduced vibration and smooth movement. The package includes a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on movable surfaces, way covers, a drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications include a digital readout of Newall DP700, a number of axes at 3 (knee), powerfeed on the X-axis, R-8 spindle taper, a table size of 10" x 50", a quill diameter of 3-3/8", variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, and quill down feed rates of .0015, .003, and .004 IPR. The machine is backed by a two-year warranty.
