Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. This milling machine features a JET designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box housing an E-stop for accessibility, and an innovative base design for easier leveling. It includes an automatic oiler that releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable intervals, a heavy-duty spindle brake for safety, and a relocated electrical box with two 115V outlets. The machine is CSA/CUS certified, equipped with Class 7 spindle bearings for maximum rigidity, and features an internally cooled spindle head to extend the life of the bearing, belt, and motor. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for greater accuracy, with the X and Y-axis coated in Turcite-B for reduced vibration and smoother movements. Additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all moveable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and a tool box with tools. The specifications include a digital readout of Newall DP700, a number of 3 axes (knee), power feed for the X, Y, and Z-axis, an R-8 spindle taper, a table size of 10 x 50 inches, a quill diameter of 3-3/8 inches, variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, and quill down feed rates.
