Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. The machine boasts a Jet designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box with an E-stop for operator convenience, and an innovative machine base design for easy leveling without raising it. An automatic oiler releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable intervals, while a heavy-duty spindle break enhances safety by stopping the spindle and interrupting power to prevent accidental start-ups. The electrical box is relocated to the back of the mill and includes two 115V outlets for powered accessories. This model is CSA/CUS certified and features Class 7 spindle bearings for maximum rigidity during heavy cutting, an internally cooled spindle head for extended life of components, and a table and ways hardened up to 54 HRC for greater accuracy. The X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B to reduce vibration and enable smooth movements. Additional components include a swing away safety shield, an LED work lamp, a chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, a drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications include a Newall DP700 digital readout, two-axis control, X-axis power feed, a pneumatic power draw bar, R-8 spindle taper, 10" x 50" table size, a 3-3/8" quill diameter, variable spindle speeds, and a range of spindle speeds from 60 to 4,500 RPM.
