Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. The kit includes features such as a Jet designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for improved rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box with an E-stop for operator convenience, and an innovative machine base design to simplify leveling. Additional features comprise an automatic oiler that releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable intervals, a heavy-duty spindle brake for added safety, and a relocated electrical box with two 115V outlets. This milling machine is CSA/CUS certified and equipped with Class 7 spindle bearings for maximum rigidity during heavy cutting, while the internally cooled spindle head extends the longevity of the bearings, belt, and motor. The hardened table and ways, ground to 54 HRC, offer greater accuracy, and the X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B for reduced vibration and smooth movements. Included with the machine are a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all moveable surfaces, way covers, a drawbar, and a tool box with necessary tools.
