Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. The features include a JET designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box housing an E-stop with all controls at the operator's fingertips, an automatic oiler releasing 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable intervals, and a heavy-duty spindle brake for added safety. The electrical box, relocated to the back, contains two 115V outlets for powered accessories and the machine is CSA/CUS certified. Class 7 spindle bearings support the spindle, enhancing rigidity during heavy cutting. The spindle head is internally cooled to extend the life of bearings, belt, and motor. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for greater accuracy, with X and Y-axis coated in Turcite-B for reduced vibration and smooth movements. Additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all moveable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications include a digital readout of Newall DP700, powerfeed on X and Y-axis, a pneumatic power draw bar, R-8 spindle taper, a table size of 10 x 50 inches, a quill diameter of 3-3/8 inches, variable number of spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, and quill down feed rates.
