Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. This machine features a JET designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing to ensure rigidity and tolerance retention, while the swing away control box houses an emergency stop and places all controls conveniently at the operator's fingertips. The innovative design of the machine base allows for easy leveling without needing to lift the machine. An automatic oiler releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable time intervals, and for added safety, the heavy-duty spindle brake stops the spindle and interrupts power to prevent accidental start-ups. The electrical box has been relocated to the back of the mill and includes two 115V outlets for powered accessories. This milling machine is CSA/CUS certified and features Class 7 spindle bearings that support the spindle for maximum rigidity during heavy cutting applications. The spindle head is internally cooled, extending the life of the bearings, belt, and motor. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for greater accuracy, with the X and Y-axis coated with Turcite-B to reduce vibration and ensure smooth movements. Additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. The specifications include a digital readout from Newall DP700, two-axis control, powerfeed for the X and Y-axis, R-8 spindle taper, table size of 10" x 50", quill diameter of 3-3/8", variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, and quill down feed rates of .0015, .003, and .0.
