Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. Jet mills are backed by the industry-leading Jet two-year warranty. Key features include a Jet designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box with an E-stop for operator convenience, and an innovative base design that facilitates leveling without elevating the machine. The automatic oiler releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable intervals, while the heavy-duty spindle brake enhances safety by stopping the spindle and interrupting power to prevent accidental start-ups. The electrical box is relocated to the back of the mill and includes two 115V outlets for powered accessories, and the machine is CSA/CUS certified. The class 7 spindle bearings support maximum rigidity during heavy cutting applications, and the spindle head is internally cooled to extend the life of the bearings, belt, and motor. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for greater accuracy, with the X and Y-axis coated in Turcite-B to reduce vibration and ensure smooth movements. Additionally, the machine is equipped with a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, a drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications include a digital readout of Acu-Rite 200S, a 3-axis system (quill), power feed on the X and Y axes, a pneumatic power draw bar, and an R-8 spindle taper. The table size measures 10 x 50 inches, with a quill diameter of 3-3/8 inches, and offers variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM.
