Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporate a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. JET mills feature a certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box with an E-stop for operator accessibility, and an innovative machine base design for easier leveling. It includes an automatic oiler that releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable intervals, a heavy-duty spindle brake for added safety, and a relocated electrical box with two 115V outlets for powered accessories. The machine is CSA/CUS certified and features Class 7 spindle bearings for maximum rigidity in heavy cutting applications, an internally cooled spindle head that extends bearing, belt, and motor life, and a table and ways hardened to 54 HRC and precision ground for greater accuracy. The X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B to reduce vibration and provide smooth movements. Additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, a drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. The specifications of this machine include a digital readout (ACU-RITE VUE), power feed on the X-axis, a pneumatic power drawbar, an R-8 spindle taper, a table size of 10" x 50", a quill diameter of 3-3/8", variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, and quill down feed rates of .0015 to .003 inches per revolution.
