Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. Features include a JET designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box with an E-stop for operator convenience, and an innovative base design allowing easier leveling. It features an automatic oiler that releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable intervals, a heavy-duty spindle brake for safety, and a relocated electrical box housing two 115V outlets. The machine is CSA/CUS certified, equipped with Class 7 spindle bearings for maximum rigidity during heavy cutting, and an internally cooled spindle head to extend the life of bearings, belts, and motors. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for accuracy, while the X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B for reduced vibration and smoother movements. Additional components include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all moveable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications include a digital readout of ACU-RITE 200S, a powerfeed on the X-axis, an R-8 spindle taper, a table size of 10" x 50", a quill diameter of 3-3/8", variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, quill down feed rates of .0015, .003, and .006 IPR, and a spindle travel of 5".
