Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. The JET designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing ensures rigidity and tolerance retention, while the swing away control box houses an E-stop and puts all controls at the operator's fingertips. An automatic oiler releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable time intervals, and a heavy-duty spindle brake adds safety by stopping the spindle and interrupting the power to prevent accidental start-ups. The electrical box, relocated to the back of the mill, includes two 115V outlets for powered accessories and the machine is CSA/CUS certified. Class 7 spindle bearings provide maximum rigidity in heavy cutting applications, and the spindle head is internally cooled to extend bearing, belt, and motor life. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for greater accuracy, while the X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B for reduced vibration and smooth movements. Additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. The specifications of the machine include a digital readout of ACU-RITE 200S, powerfeed for the X, Y, and Z-axis, a spindle taper of R-8, a table size of 10" x 50", a quill diameter of 3-3/8", variable number of spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, and quill down feed rates of .0015, .003, and .006 inches per revolution.
